HANDEL DURHAM

With over four decades of courtroom experience and 17 years as a Magistrate, Handel R. Durham, Jr. brings seasoned judgment and unmatched litigation skill to help clients restore their rights.

Handel R. Durham, Jr. is an accomplished trial attorney and former Magistrate Judge with more than 40 years of experience in criminal defense, civil litigation, and judicial service. As a practicing attorney, Handel has tried and won multimillion-dollar verdicts, including landmark wrongful death judgments in both state and federal court. His practice has also included significant public service, such as collecting over $12 million in outstanding judgments for the City of Memphis and serving as Assistant Public Defender for Shelby County.​​
​From 2005 to 2022, Handel served as Deputy Divorce Referee (Magistrate Judge) for Shelby County, where he presided over hundreds of cases, issued judgments, and earned a reputation for impartiality, fairness, and integrity. He has also served as a Special Judge for Shelby County General Sessions Court.
Admitted before the Tennessee Supreme Court, multiple federal district courts, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, Handel’s breadth of legal experience makes him uniquely qualified to advise clients navigating the judicial system to restore firearm rights. His perspective as both a trial attorney and judicial officer ensures that clients receive strategic guidance rooted in deep knowledge of Tennessee and federal law.

Jonathan T. Mosley, an attorney with more than 20 years working in the criminal justice system, brings hands-on criminal defense and law enforcement experience.

Former police officer turned criminal defense attorney — Jonathan combines courtroom experience and law-enforcement insight to guide clients through the process of restoring firearm rights.
Jonathan served as a uniformed police officer and training academy instructor before earning his J.D. and building a multi-disciplinary
litigation practice focused on criminal defense, juvenile matters, and civil litigation. At his private practice and in roles supporting county legal offices, Jonathan handled serious criminal charges — including unlawful possession of weapons — and managed every phase of state and federal litigation.
